The Many Faces of Memes

From what I have learned from an xiao mina that not only are memes meant to be funny but they can also be very political. From my knowledge of memes, I vaguely knew that memes could gear towards a political standpoint. All the memes that I usually ever see are always jokes and funny sayings. I think many people that are on the internet daily and religiously can get consumed and An taught me a way to overlook that on a personal note and journalistic point. “…We need to be mindful of our media diets…and just like anything we can do too much and this is really hard right now because we are living in a world where the internet is such a social salvo…take a little breather take a pause…” What I learned about using my “filter bubbles” is possibly changing my clickbait into the community I would like to cover and base off that, or if I want my social media to stop showing me something specific, maybe stop following the people or things that lead up to that topic. As An was talking about the Simpsons meme, my partner follows this page that creates some political memes, and I saw one specifically that stood out to me.
